Care For The Aging is an initiative powered by the Pennsylvania Health Care Association to introduce more Pennsylvanians to careers in long-term care. Pennsylvania has one of the oldest populations in the country. The fastest growing demographic in the state is adults aged 80 and older – ages that require more care and support with activities of daily living. Pennsylvania currently has a workforce shortage of caregivers and other essential staff to support the demand for senior care.

Care For The Aging is a campaign supported by long-term care providers located across the state of Pennsylvania and supported by the Pennsylvania Health Care Association that aims to educate and recruit more workers into long-term care – a critical component of the health care continuum. Pennsylvania’s rapidly aging population, particularly the increasing number of adults aged 80 and over who require greater assistance with activities of daily living and healthcare needs, has created a significant shortage of caregivers and other essential long-term care staff in the state.
Care For The Aging serves as a bridge between long-term care providers, career seekers, and educators to provide informative resources and tools to assist with recruitment and career preparation.
